Reinforcing that the computer is the center of consumers’ entertainment experience, Dell Picture Studio offers customers pre-installed photo management software on their computer that is tightly integrated with a co-branded version of Shutterfly’s premiere online photo sharing and printing service. This industry-leading offer is available on Dell Dimension™ desktop and Inspiron™ notebook computers to U.S. consumers beginning today.

Dell partnered with Shutterfly and Conexant Systems, Inc. to bring this package to consumers. Shutterfly has been recognized as the leading online photography service and is providing its award-winning products and services to Dell customers. With the click of a mouse, customers can easily upload, enhance, store, share and print their photos. Customers, or their family and friends, can order high-quality prints, personalized photo greeting cards, and other photo-related products directly from the site. The number of U.S. households with Internet access that own a digital camera doubled in 2000, reaching 25 percent of U.S. Internet households, and indications are that the number will double again in 2001, according to a new survey of over 1,000 U.S. Internet households by InfoTrends Research Group, Inc. Jupiter Media Metrix forecasts the number of U.S. households owning a computer and a digital camera will reach 70% by 2003.
