Shutterfly Adds Jerry Ko as Vice President of Product Engineering
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – (Sept. 27, 2006) – Shutterfly, Inc., an Internet-based social expression and personal publishing service, today announced the hire of Jerry Ko as Vice President of Product Engineering. Jerry Ko will join the company’s management team, reporting to Shutterfly’s Senior Vice President of Technology, Stanford Au. Jerry will be responsible for helping define, develop and execute the company’s product strategy.
Jerry Ko joins Shutterfly with over 20 years of software development and project management experience at successful Silicon Valley companies. Most recently Jerry served as Vice President of Engineering at InQuira, Inc., where he was responsible for the complete product line including intelligent search, web marketing and knowledge management products. At Open Harbor, Inc., Jerry developed the next generation architecture and products for mission-critical, Internet-based global trade management services. As Vice President of Engineering at Escalate, Inc., Jerry worked with product management to define the product roadmap for E-Commerce/supply chain services.
Prior to Escalate, Jerry held a variety of management and development roles at Netscape Communications, NetFrame Systems, Hal Computers, Pyramid Technology and Hewlett-Packard. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis.
