SHUTTERFLY ADDS TOP BUSINESS & CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT TALENT TO ACCELERATE COMPANY’S GROWTH

REDWOOD CITY, CALIF. – (April 25, 2005) — Shutterfly, Inc., a leading e-commerce company specializing in digital photo products and services, today announced two key additions to its Business & Corporate Development team: Doug Galen, Senior Vice President and Dan McCormick, Senior Director. Reporting to Shutterfly’s President and CEO, Jeffrey Housenbold, Doug Galen will be responsible for driving high growth initiatives, including strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions. Dan McCormick will be responsible for driving the execution of these initiatives in addition to identifying and evaluating new opportunities.

Doug Galen joins Shutterfly from Fourth Fleet Financial, where he served as President and oversaw strategic corporate development. Prior to that he served as Vice President & General Manager of New Ventures for eBay, Inc. (NASDAQ: EBAY), where he was responsible for building and launching eight emerging business units including Tickets & Experiences and Real Estate. Prior to eBay, Galen was Vice President of Sales and Business Development for E-LOAN, Inc. (NASDAQ: EELN). As the third employee, he helped grow the company to 150 million dollars in revenue. During his tenure, Doug Galen developed more than 70 corporate alliances, joint ventures and acquisitions. He serves on the Board of Directors of HomeGain (www.homegain.com) and the Positive Coaching Alliance (www.positivecoach.org). Galen earned his MBA in Real Estate & Finance and BA in Economics from University of California, Berkeley.

Dan McCormick joins Shutterfly from Secure Campus where he served as Senior Director of Corporate Development & Finance. Previously, he was Director of Marketing at Network Appliance (NASDAQ: NTAP). With over 15 years experience in strategic operations and finance, McCormick also served as Director of Corporate Development at Network Appliance, where he managed the company’s mergers and acquisitions and strategic investments; as well as Director of Finance with responsibilities for strategic finance and investor relations. Prior to his tenure with Network Appliance, McCormick worked in the Strategy Practice at Accenture (NYSE: ACN). He earned his MBA from Harvard University and BS degree from Babson College.
