Shutterfly Foundation Announces 2010 Grant Cycle

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Feb 17, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Shutterfly, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFLY), the leading Internet-based social expression and personal publishing service, today announced that the Shutterfly Foundation is now accepting grant applications. The Shutterfly Foundation is comprised of Shutterfly employees with a mission to help non-profit organizations that support families and children in need in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and Maricopa County, Arizona, where Shutterfly has operations. In 2009, the Shutterfly Foundation awarded $10,000 grants to eight non-profit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Charlotte, North Carolina, whose programs supported Shutterfly Foundation’s vision. Winners included the following organizations in San Francisco Bay Area: Community School of Music and Art, Family Connections, National Alliance for Mental Illness, Reading Partners and SPARK, as well as the following organizations in Charlotte, North Carolina: Light Factory, Children’s Theater of Charlotte and Right Moves for Youth.

The Shutterfly Foundation 2010 grant cycle is open and is currently accepting applications from non-profit organizations operating in the following communities:

  • San Francisco Bay Area operating programs in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties
  • Mecklenburg County, North Carolina
  • Maricopa County, Arizona
