Shutterfly Foundation Announces 2011 Grant Cycle

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Shutterfly, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFLY), a leading Internet-based social expression and personal publishing service, today announced that the Shutterfly Foundation is now accepting grant applications for 2011. The Shutterfly Foundation will award a $10,000 grant to 10 non-profit organizations. Comprised of Shutterfly employees, the Shutterfly Foundation’s mission is to help non-profit organizations that support families or children in need. Non-profits interested in learning more can go to www.shutterfly.com/foundation. The deadline for grant applications is June 1, 2011.

In 2010, the Shutterfly Foundation awarded $10,000 grants to a total of 10 non-profit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and Maricopa County, Arizona, whose programs shared Shutterfly’s mission to share life’s joy. Grant winners from Mecklenburg County, North Carolina included A Child’s Place, Special Olympics and United Family Services. Grant winners from, Maricopa County Arizona included Arizona Quest for Kids, Turn a New Leaf and Youth at Risk. Grant winners from San Francisco Bay Area included Family Supportive Housing, Girls for a Change, Music for Minors and Peninsula Bridge.

The Shutterfly Foundation 2011 grant cycle is open, accepting applications from non-profit organizations operating in the following communities:

  • San Francisco Bay Area operating programs in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties
  • Mecklenburg County, North Carolina
  • Maricopa County, Arizona
