SHUTTERFLY HIRES PATRICIA SCHOOF AS VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES

REDWOOD CITY, CALIF. – (May 25, 2005) — Shutterfly, Inc., the leading independent e-commerce company specializing in digital photo products and services, today announced the appointment of Patricia Schoof as Vice President of Human Resources. She will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s human resources capabilities including recruiting diverse talent, compensation, benefits, organizational design, leadership development and workplace culture. Schoof will report to Shutterfly’s President and CEO, Jeffrey Housenbold.

Schoof brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources. Most recently, Patricia Schoof was Vice President of Human Resources at Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), where she helped guide the company’s organizational design, practices and policies, as it grew from an early stage company to an international organization.

Prior to joining Salesforce.com, Schoof held senior human resources positions for several large global organizations including the role of Vice President of Human Resources at Navisite (NASDAQ SC: NAVI), Vice President of Human Resources at Network Associates (now McAfee) and Senior Human Resources Manager at DHL. Previous experience included human resources positions within The North Face and Esprit de Corp. Schoof earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Santa Clara University.
