SHUTTERFLY HIRES STANFORD AU AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF TECHNOLOGY

REDWOOD CITY, CALIF. – (April 26, 2006) — Shutterfly, Inc., the leading independent online photo service, today announced the hire of Silicon Valley technology veteran, Stanford Au as Senior Vice President of Technology. Reporting to Shutterfly’s President and CEO, Jeffrey Housenbold, Stanford Au will be responsible for the company’s overall technology strategy and execution and he will also serve as an important advisor on the executive team. In this role, Au will lead Shutterfly’s Web Engineering, Client Engineering, Internet Operations and Quality Assurance teams.

Stanford Au joins Shutterfly from WebEx Communications where he served as Vice President of Engineering, helping to define the company’s business and technology strategy to focus on the corporate and enterprise markets. Prior to that Au was Vice-President/General Manager for the Internet Bill Presentment & Payment division of AOL/Netscape where he was responsible for all aspects of the business, including engineering, quality assurance, documentation, product management, product marketing, partnerships, sales and training.

For the past 22 years Au has held executive and senior engineering positions with leading Silicon Valley companies including Virage, KIVA, Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems and Hewlett Packard. Au earned his BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley, CA.
