REDWOOD CITY, CALIF. – (November 5, 2004) — Shutterfly, a leading online photo service provider, today announced that Computer Shopper magazine (www.cnet.com/computershopper) has named the company “Best Online Photofinisher” for two years in a row in its annual editors’ awards for The Top 100 Products of the Year. On newsstands now in the November issue, the Top 100 list is the cover story.
Computer Shopper’s editors tested more than 1,000 products and services and believe that its roster of Top 100 winners “demonstrate an unbeatable combination of performance, features and values.” In the online service category, Computer Shopper named Shutterfly along side Google and Netflix as top Web services.
The write-up notes that: “We’ve always preferred Shutterfly as the online service to go to for digital-image printing, as the site is brimming with cool features. Print quality is also among the best we’ve seen, and we’re really excited by the new, lower price of 29 cents per 4×6-inch print.”
This is Shutterfly’s third nod for excellence from Computer Shopper within two years. Last year, Shutterfly garnered the magazine’s “Top 100 Tech Products of the Year” and won “CNET Editors’ Choice” for online printing in the May 2003 issue.
