REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jun 23, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Shutterfly, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFLY), the leading Internet-based social expression and personal publishing service, today announced the appointment of Charlotte Falla as Vice President of Legal & General Counsel. Ms. Falla will report to Shutterfly’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Mark Rubash.

Ms. Falla is responsible for all Shutterfly legal affairs, including commercial contract negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, corporate governance and securities compliance. She brings more than 15 years of experience in new media, e-commerce and technology sectors.

Prior to joining Shutterfly, Ms. Falla served as the General Counsel and Secretary of Future US. She has extensive senior-level legal experience in the new media and e-commerce sectors having served as Associate General Counsel for Netflix, Inc., Senior Investment Manager for Intel Capital’s Digital Content & Delivery/New Media sector, and counsel for Tribune Company. Ms. Falla also has extensive experience in the legal aspects of technology and IP licensing, including senior legal positions at Aspect Software, Inc. and Immersion Corporation.

Ms. Falla holds a BA from the University of Illinois, an MA in Elementary and Special Education from National-Louis University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
