SHUTTERFLY WINS FIRST PLACE AWARD FROM PHOTO MARKETING ASSOCIATION

Feb 25, 2002

ORLANDO, FL. – (February 25, 2002) — At this year’s Photo Marketing Association Show, Shutterfly, the leading online photo service, won first place for outstanding advertising and promotion of photo/digital products to consumers. The company earned the first prize in its category of “medium size firms – Consumer Markets”.

For the competition, companies were asked to submit examples of their marketing campaigns that demonstrated the company’s overall promotional efforts, as well as its efforts to promote photography or digital imaging by stressing the emotional, creative or utilitarian benefits of pictures.

“We are proud to be recognized for delivering the best consumer promotions in our category, in the online photo industry,” said Andy Wood, CEO of Shutterfly. “We are constantly striving to ensure that we are listening to our customers and delivering the products, services and promotions they want and demand. We pride ourselves in providing the best possible online photo experience for our users and we will continue to offer new promotions and services to further enhance that experience.”

These awards come on the heels of yesterday’s announcement that Shutterfly has been selected by Hewlett-Packard to provide online photofinishing services across multiple HP digital imaging solutions.
