ORLANDO, FL – (February 23, 2002) At an exclusive ceremony here just prior to the DigitalFocus 2002 @ Orlando media event, the winners and finalists for the 5th Annual Excellence in Imaging Awards were presented. Top honors this year went to companies that include Adobe, Canon, Epson, HP, Kodak, Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, and Xerox for their outstanding products during the past year. (See complete list below.)
The Excellence in Imaging Awards are among the most prestigious awards in the field of digital imaging. The awards annually honor the top digital imaging products in 15 different categories. This year’s Excellence in Imaging Awards were once again sponsored by Pepcom Inc. and its DigitalFocus showcase series. The awards were presented at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel in Orlando on the evening before the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) trade show opened.
“The products and services selected this year as winners and finalists represent the most innovative group in the world of digital imaging and video,” said Chris O’Malley, a partner with Pepcom, the company that produces the DigitalFocus series. “This was an exceptional year for digital imaging in terms of its acceptance by the mainstream consumer marketplace, and these award winners are leading the way.”
